I’m going to the Oregon Dunes in August and wanted to rent a dune buggy. Not a RZR, but an actual dune buggy, prefereably RWD and fast. I found only one company that rents them, but they are closed temporarily while they upgrade their facility. All the other websites are calling the RZR’s and quads “dune buggies” so it’s making my search difficult.
Anyone know where I could rent a real dune buggy near the Oregon Dunes?

You're going to Florence? That's where I had done time driving an RZR on some dunes.

I’ve rented the RZR before in Moab, and loved it, but I’m interested in the true dune buggy experience. I assume you had a blast in the RZR?

Just buy a dune buggy and sell it when you’re done.

I bonded with my wife on the Oregon dunes. Well, as much bonding as one can have with her screaming like a banshee and me giggling like a fool. It looks like the place where we rented the sand rail now rents only ATVs and RAZRs.
If you have to give up on a sand rail, I highly recommend renting a Yamaha Banshee ( http://torexatvrentals.com/#section=renta… ). My uncle used to take me to the dunes and his stock banshees were faster than any of the other stock quads. Loads of fun.
